The annual MakeHarvard engineering makeathon will return this Winter for it's second year. Competing teams at our 2019 event will have access to rapid-prototyping equipment like 3D printers and laser cutters to produce engineering prototypes and compete for prizes.

Teams can consist to up to four people.

No, we are not providing any transportation, but you may be eligible for travel reimbursements.

An application for travel reimbursement will be provided to makers at the conference. Payments will be provided after the fact. The maximum payment, method of distribution, and other details are pending what funds we have leftover after the conference. There is no guarantee on any amount provided, if at all.

Yes, MakeHarvard is a student organization on campus.

We’ll be providing space in the Student Organization Center at Hilles (SOCH) on campus, the venue of HackHarvard. We also will provide air mattresses for the night and breakfast the morning after for those who spend the night. Note that the SOCH is not a dorm -- this is more like a slumber party than a hotel stay.

No, we are not. We are two separate organizations.

This is a makeathon which provides a distinctly different venue and opportunity for engineers on the MLH circuit. Hardware is required to be eligible for awards.
